“My goal is to provide a safe and authentic space for clients, so they feel seen and heard. I foster a sense of genuine care and curiosity along with working towards a strong therapeutic relationship. I approach my work based on trauma informed and client centred principles of trust, choice, collaboration, non-judgement and safety. I firmly believe that the objective of therapy is to empower the client to trust their inner voice and resources”.
Education:
With a master’s degree and background in Human Resource management, Ipshita went on to pursue a post graduate degree in Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, Melbourne. Along with work experience in ACAP’s community psychology clinic based in Sydney with culturally diverse clients and indigenous communities. She is an avid mental health advocate that understands the need for social justice awareness in the mental health field.
Experience
Ipshita is a counselling psychologist that works with a range of issues including, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, perinatal mental health challenges, stress, burnout, relationship issues, abuse, and self-harm behaviours etc. It is a huge privilege to witness the clients emotional process, earn their trust and walk alongside them.
