Inner- Connect and Chetana Hospital Internship/ Observation Program
The program will be divided into the following 12 -week schedule for your internship:
Week 1: Introduction to Mental Health Services
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the mission and services of the mental health center.
- Familiarize yourself with the center’s policies and procedures.
- Develop an understanding of the role of mental health professionals.
Activities:
– Orientation session with the center director
– Tour of the center’s facilities
– Meeting with mental health professionals to discuss their roles and responsibilities
Week 2: Assessment and Diagnosis
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the process of assessment and diagnosis.
- Learn about the different assessment tools and techniques used.
- Develop an understanding of the importance of cultural competence in assessment.
Activities:
– Observation of assessment sessions
– Review of assessment tools and techniques
– Discussion with mental health professionals on cultural competence in assessment
Week 3: Treatment Planning and Intervention
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the process of treatment planning and intervention.
- Learn about the different therapeutic approaches and techniques used.

Week 10: Psychoeducation and Skill Development
